The Mitch
The Mitch is a bigger version of the typical shortboard thruster. This board is meant for bigger, heavier surfers who still want the shortboard feel. Typically, these types of boards that you find on the racks are shorter, but wider and thicker, with very full rails, achieving high volume. They end up being difficult to paddle and hard to sink on rail, due to the fullness of the rails, making the board unresponsive and skatey. The Mitch was designed to redistribute the volume, so that the rails are less full, and the paddle speed is greater, increasing the ability to really bury the rail in a hard, carving turn. This board is a squash tail thruster, single to double concave.
The Mitch is designed for intermediate to advanced surfers, who want more foam, but not less performance. This board works well in any wave, from 2-6 foot.
